LAUNCH OF THE NEW FNIDEQ ECONOMIC ACTIVITY ZONE

The new Fnideq Economic Activity Zone (ZAEF) welcomed, on February 12, 2022, the 53 selected
retailers that are now preparing to start their operations.

Having required the mobilization of a budget of more than 200 M MAD, as part of the economic and social
development program of the province of Tétouan and the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, the creation of the
ZAEF is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Regional Council,
the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North, the Tanger Med Special Agency, the Wilaya
of the Tangier – Tétouan – Al-Hoceima Region, the Prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, the Administration of
Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, and the Regional Investment Center of the Tangier – Tétouan
– Al-Hoceima Region.

The first of its kind in the country and located approximately 20 kilometers from Tanger Med port
complex, the ZAEF is equipped with infrastructure and facilities that meet international standards.
The first phase of this project, covering an area of 10 ha, consists of 76 warehouses in addition to all
the amenities and common facilities necessary for its operation. It represents a modern and adapted
solution for trade and commerce operations.
Eventually, the Zone will cover a total area of 95 ha and will be exclusively dedicated to distribution and
trade operations, with several advantages:

• -A management method tailored to the best standards of the industrial acceleration zones in the Region
• -A dedicated operating method and logistics system designed with the involvement of the various regional and national players in the field
• -And a convergent and personalized service from all those involved in the smooth flow of the zone.
