TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE BERTHING LENGTH OF THE MARSA MAROC POLYVALENT TERMINAL AT THE JORF LASFAR PORT

On behalf of Marsa Maroc, Tanger Med Engineering has carried out the study of the mass plan, maneuverability, and detailed design of its multipurpose terminal at the Jorf Lasfar Port.

The terminal currently has a quay with a total length of 310 lm and a draught of -12.5 m backed by a storage area of about 10 Ha. Therefore, this terminal can receive two ships with a total length of about 300 lm.

The purpose of the study is to increase the berthing length of the existing quay, thereby ensuring the security of the mooring system and allowing the safe berthing of two larger vessels. This project will allow for better optimization of the scheduling of ship calls.
