EQUIPPING A RESOURCE ROOM TO SUPPORT STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

Pursuing its mission to promote inclusive spaces for the development of mentally handicapped children, Tanger Med Foundation has contributed to the equipping of a resource room at Hassan I Elementary School in Tangier. Launched 3 years ago, this room is designed to accommodate children with learning difficulties, complementing their existing schedules in their main schools.

This educational project not only provides children with pedagogical support but also stimulates their cognitive skills and broadens their horizons. Programmed workshops take into account the needs of each student through:

• Acquisition of techniques related to sensorimotor skills (sign language, Braille, etc.).
• Mental stimulation activities to prepare students for learning.

Through its contribution to the purchase of equipment and teaching materials, Tanger Med Foundation aims to contribute to the sustainability of this project.
