RAVAGO, a major player in providing services for the global market of plastics, chemicals, and rubber, has opened its new factory in Tanger Automotive City (TAC) within the Tanger Med industrial platform, in collaboration with Repsol. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade of Morocco, along with representatives from Moroccan public administrations and the Tanger Med Directorate.

This new 24,000 m² facility will be dedicated to the production of polypropylene (PP) compounds, a technical material widely used in the automotive industry, as well as polyamide, PBT, and alloy compounds. This expansion will allow the company to meet the growing demand from local customers, particularly automotive manufacturers such as the Renault Group and the Stellantis Group, who have supported the project from its inception.

The €20 million investment from Repsol and Ravago represents a strategic initiative aimed at supporting the global expansion of both companies by offering high value-added products for the automotive industry. The project aims to establish a global production capacity of 18,500 tons, primarily focused on exports to European markets.

“The implementation of the Ravago-Repsol project within the Tanger Med industrial platform attests to our commitment to automotive industrial integration. This initiative reflects our determination to actively contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of our industrial ecosystem,” said Mr. Ahmed Bennis, General Director of Tanger Med Zones (TMZ).
