FIRE SIMULATION EXERCISE AT THE MULTIPURPOSE TERMINAL

As part of the updating of the internal operations plans (POI) at the Marsa Maroc Multipurpose Terminal in the port of Casablanca, and with the support of the consulting firm AES Group, a fire simulation exercise involving a 60 T mobile crane on wheels was carried out on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, at the Multipurpose Traffic Terminal. This monthly exercise was conducted in the presence of the Port of Casablanca’s Civil Protection services and had the following objectives:

  • Raising staff awareness of the risk of fire on mobile cranes;
  • Training personnel to respond to fire alarms triggered on the crane;
  • Response organization and alert methods;
  • Training in the use of fire hydrants and extinguishers;
  • Coordination of the intervention with the civil protection services of the Port of Casablanca.

A training session was organized for 160 agents of the DEPC-TP at ACAF: “Fighting fires.”
