After successfully organizing the Moroccan Sailing Championship in 2023, the DALIA Association for Water Sports (ADSN), based at DALIA-Ksar Al Majaz Tangier, has organized this year, under the aegis of the Royal Moroccan Sailing Federation (FRMV) and in partnership with Tanger Med Foundation, the “Dalia International Sailing Regatta” in the Ilca 6, Ilca 4, and Optimist laser series from June 28th to 30th, 2024.

The event was designed to promote water sports, provide high-level competition, foster skills development among athletes, promote the host destination, and strengthen the sailing community.

Organized in conjunction with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, this year’s event had the status of an international regatta, with the participation of four countries: Spain, France, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as renowned Moroccan clubs.

This lightweight sailing championship in the Optimist, ILCA4, and ILCA6 series saw the participation of 9 Moroccan clubs, including those from Dalia, Rabat, Agadir, Mohammedia, Al Jadida, M’diq, Tangier, Salé, and the Royal Navy Club of Casablanca.

The best male and female sailors were honored and celebrated at the awards ceremony, held on Sunday June 30th, in the presence of representatives of the Fahs Anjra Province and local authorities, the Royal Moroccan Sailing Federation, and Tanger Med Foundation.

A total of 8 races were held in favorable weather conditions for this nautical discipline.
