Port and Logistics

Tanger Med Passengers Port has closed the Marhaba 2021 operation, which took place from June 15th to September 15th, with a total traffic count of 167,043 passengers and 62,221 vehicles

As for maritime connections during the campaign, the Tanger Med Passengers port was connected to the ports of Marseille, Sète, and Genoa, which are served respectively by the shipping companies LA MERIDIONALE, INTERSHIPPING, and GNV.

To meet the strong demand expressed by Moroccans living abroad to reach their country by sea, the Moroccan government has strengthened transport services through a charter connecting Tanger Med and Sète.

The Marhaba 2021 campaign took place in the best conditions regarding reception and safety, in accordance with His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s royal directives, and this, while respecting health and safety measures, thanks to a special device set up to protect and secure the pedestrian and vehicular passengers’ route, as well as a coordinated effort by all the services involved in this operation: the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the General Directorate of National Security, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, the Ministry of Health, etc.
