Overall Progression of the port complex Tanger Med during the 1st semester, the various indicators are increasing for most of the port activities with the exception of passenger traffic.

INCREASING CONTAINERS TRAFFIC

Containers traffic registered 1 668 566 TEU (twenty-foot Equivalent units) for the 1st semester 2018, representing an increase of +7% compared to the same period in 2017.
INCREASING VEHICLES TRAFFIC

252 194 vehicles were handled at both vehicle terminals during the 1st semester of 2018, an increase of 18%.
204 244 vehicles were handled at Renault’s terminal, including 160 757 vehicles for export from the Renault Tanger Med plant.
The Common User vehicle terminal, meanwhile, recorded a total traffic of 47 950 vehicles during the 1st semester of 2018.
INCREASING RO-RO TRAFFIC

Tanger Med Port has achieved a traffic of 185 052 trucks, representing an increase of +14% compared to the same period of 2017.
DECREASING PASSENGERS TRAFFIC

Tanger Med Port Passengers has achieved a traffic of 733 646 passengers during the 1st semester of 2018, representing an decrease of 13% compared to the same period of 2017.
This traffic was impacted by a significant decrease in the offer of the shipping companies (4 foreign and 1 Moroccan). They made an average of 17 trips a day while the port Tanger Med offers a handling capacity up to 50 trips a day.

STABLE HYDROCARBONS

Refined products traffic registered 2 969 946 tons during the 1st semester 2018, representing a decrease of 15% compared to the same period 2017.
