DALIA SAILING SCHOOL TAKES PART IN THE 33RD EDITION OF THE “AL MASSIRA CUP” REGATTA

Organized on the initiative of the Royal Yacht Club de M’diq (RYCM), the 33rd edition of the “Coupe Al Massira” regatta saw the participation of most of the national clubs affiliated to the Royal Moroccan Sailing Federation (FRMV).

More than 90 sailors took part in this sporting event, which opened on Sunday, November 5th in M’diq to commemorate the 48th anniversary of the Marche Verte.

Official competitions were held over two days, with the final featuring a wide range of events in all categories.

This tournament, reserved exclusively for mixed light sailing, included the Optimist (junior and intermediate), ILCA 4 (cadet) and ILCA 6, 7 (open to all age groups) categories.

The young skippers of the Dalia Sailing School distinguished themselves by their exceptional performances and won 3 first places on the podium:

• Hatim Chairim: Ranked 1st in the Optimist over 12 category (junior and intermediate)
• Yassine Elouafi: Ranked 1st in the Optimist under 12 category (junior and intermediate)
• Ouiame Daoudi: Ranked 2nd in the Optimist girls category (overall ranking)

In addition to the Dalia Sailing School, supported by Tanger Med Foundation, the event was attended by the Tangier Yacht Club, the Mohammedia Yacht Club, the Agadir Yacht Club, the Royal Navy Club in Casablanca, and the Royal Navy Club in M’diq.
