FACILITATING REQUESTS FOR EXTERNAL PORT TRACTION

The digitization of external port traction requests at Tanger Med marks a significant step towards the overall modernization of port procedures.

In addition to the formalities already in place for movement authorizations and internal traction orders, a new procedure has been introduced to regulate tractor access to the Port Complex in order to manage isolated import semi-trailers.

Requests for port access for external tractors can now be submitted directly via Tanger Med’s Port Community System (PCS). This initiative aims to simplify port operations while ensuring effective control and transparent management of flows.

After a test phase with a few operators, this method has been extended to all operators as of March 14, 2024.
