SKF MAGNETIC MECHATRONIC SETUP

With the aim of further developing its expertise in the subcontracting of subassemblies and finished products dedicated to magnetic bearings and high-speed motorized machines, the SKF Magnetic Mechatronic group has chosen to establish its presence in Morocco. This commitment is reflected in the company’s move to Tanger Med Industrial Platform.

SKF aims to provide energy-efficient solutions while optimizing costs. The product range includes magnetic bearings, high-speed motors (< 1 MW), electronic controllers, and modeling and control software for the automotive and household appliance sectors.

The first phase of the project, representing an investment of 1.2 million euros, will create 47 new direct jobs. This step involves leasing a 1,800 m² building at the Industrial Platform to manufacture motors for machining spindles and sub-assemblies for Rapid Thermal Processors.
