TANGER MED ENGINEERING (TME) STRENGTHENS ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PORT OF DJIBOUTI

On March 22-30, 2022, Tanger Med Engineering received a delegation from DPZFA (Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority) and SGTD (Société de Gestion du Terminal à Conteneurs de Doraleh) as part of the close partnership between the two entities.

In addition to the preparations and organization of the start of services under the contract of expertise of the quays operated by SGTD, the development of specifications and technical assistance in the implementation of restoration work on these quays, the members of the delegation were able to visit all the infrastructure of Tanger Med Port as well as Tanger Med Activity Zones.
Several new partnership opportunities have been identified:

• Support in the areas of training of SGTD teams in port and maritime operational trades
• Assistance to DPFZA in improving commercial and operational performance in the management of Djibouti’s free zones

Definition of benchmarking and exchange structures on best practices in the port and logistics, industrial and commercial activity areas.
