On behalf of the Provincial Directorate of Equipment, Transport and Logistics and Water of Casablanca, Tanger Med Engineering (TME)
carries out technical assistance and monitoring of the Moulay Youssef pier extension works in the port of Casablanca.

The works scope is the following:
– Dredging and removal of the trench at the pier extension
– Recovery of the existing concrete parallelepiped blocks at the end of the pier
– Extension of the existing pier over a length of 400 metres:

The extension structure is an embankment breakwater protected on the seaward side by a shell made of BCR grooved cubic blocks of 22.5
m3 to 24 m3 in volume, topped by a concrete slab and a concrete cap wall. On the inner side, the protection is made of grooved cubic blocks BCR in concrete with a volume of 12.5 m3
– Raising the existing guard wall

This extension will not only meet the initial need to improve the container terminals operation, but it will also provide better protection
for the fishing port, the naval area and, above all, the cruise terminal.
